My love of photography has grown over the years. Once I would have been afraid to use any mode other than 'automatic', now I look forward to experimenting to see what effects I can achieve. I'm probably happiest when I'm sitting in a field with my folding stool just waiting and looking to see what opportunities present themselves. It is a solitary time and yet also brings feelings of complete oneness with the natural world.
I'm fascinated with images that reveal 'secrets', whether it is a flower almost hidden within the tall grass, or something so small as to be barely noticeable to the naked eye.
Changing seasons provide different opportunities and require different skill sets and a shift in imagination but there is always something out there waiting to be found.
A photograph is the tiniest sliver of time captured in an image. Partly because of this they can evoke many emotions depending on the viewer.
I currently shoot with a Fujifilm X-H2 and various lenses.
